Total off-the-grid vacationing usually comes in a tent, but here at 102 Eliza Island, it comes in a charming 1,620-square-foot cabin, one of less than a hundred or so domiciles on the island, with a price tag of $289,950.
Such a price might seem low - indeed, for a Seattle-area vacation home, it is - but that reflects the nature of this property. The cabin is located on a private island off of Bellingham, accessed only by plane, boat or hired ferry. Once on the island, you have more than just the property to yourself. Listing agent Wes Jones told the Seattle P-I that less than 20 homes host year-round residents here. It really is a vacation to get away from it all offered by this retreat, Jones said.
Granite Construction has been awarded a $24 million design-build contract for the Interstate 5 (I-5) and State Route 11 Padden Creek — Fish Passage project in Bellingham, Wash., by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

The 2021 season with San Juan Cruises begins this Saturday, May 1st.
They’re offering half-day cruises on weekends in May and every day of the week over the summer.
They’ll depart Fairhaven at 11am and return at 5 p.m.
Cruises follow COVID-19 protocols and include an on-board lunch.
Brewers Cruises of Bellingham Bay are offered on Wednesday evenings beginning May 19th.
