A 41-year-old man is due to appear before court this month charged with drug offences following searches carried out by the PSNI s Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF).
Officers from the PCTF investigating activity linked to the South East Antrim UDA conducted searches in the Greenisland area of Carrickfergus yesterday before the man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
A PSNI spokesperson said later that the 41-year-old was charged with possession of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply, and possession of a Class B controlled drug.
