BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – The Berrien Community Foundation posted to Facebook on Tuesday their call for letters of intent for the Frederick S. Upton Foundation Grant.
The grant foundation is seeking big idea proposals that will positively impact life in Berrien County.
These big ideas should show innovation and vision for potential sustainability into the future and an evaluation of how the community will be changed for the better.
Non-profit organizations, units of government, religious organizations, or schools in Berrien County are all eligible for the grant which will reward $25,000 or $50,000.
Time is running out for local organizations to apply for a Frederick S. Upton Foundation grant this season. The Berrien Community Foundation says the deadline for the spring round of grants is March 15. All grant materials have to be dropped off at the BCF or postmarked by that date to qualify. The Upton Foundation supports a variety of projects in the community, usually focused on Berrien County. Additional grant deadlines for the year are June 15 and October 15. About BCF Grantmaking “Family”
BCF’s main objective is to help resources in the community meet the needs in the community. One of the ways we do this is to provide grants through our many grant programs from the Foundations own endowment. For example the For Good Grants. But another way we help resources meet needs is to provide administrative services to other organizations who wish to make grants to help the community. That is the case for the Heart of Cook Grant program.

Influencer marketing is when a product or service receives an inferred endorsement by a well-known personality. You’ve seen influencer marketing on social media and YouTube from some of your favorite people to follow, celebrities, and more. And that very same concept can now be applied to your own local business or non-profit organization!
