East Muskingum Board approves lunch prices for new school year

NEW CONCORD The East Muskingum Local Board of Education approved the school lunchroom prices for the upcoming school year.
The following prices were approved: K-5, $2.60; 6-12, $2.80; adults, $3.60; and K-12 breakfast, $1.25.
In other business, the board approved the following:
The submission of the Consolidated Application which is required in order to attain federal program funds that can be used collectively for common district-wide goals.
A memorandum of understanding with the MVESC.
The 2021-2022 Athletic Policy.
Reassignment of Brianne Wofter from reading tutor to fifth grade teacher.
Employment of Rick Warren, second shift custodian at the high school; Jessica Nicholson, administrative assistant to the superintendent; Sabrina Barr, paraprofessional at LMIS; Stephanie Morton, paraprofessional at LMIS; and Evelyn Warren, paraprofessional at Perry Elementary School.

Through the use of technology, several 4-H educational opportunities have still been offered throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. One such project was the 4-H Talk Meet and Demonstrations in the KY 4-H Communication Program. Pre-COVID, youth would deliver their presentation to audience of judges, peers and parents in a classroom of HCTC. During the pandemic, the process was changed to meet safety guidelines and the youth participants met with their leaders though Google Classroom or by socially distancing in school and videoed their presentation for evaluation and competition.
