On Aug. 28, 1963, in Washington, D.C., Martin Luther King Jr. took to the podium and said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
That was his entire speech 35 words. Before that day, it would seem, King had never written or said anything else. After that day, he would never write or say another word.
