A San Antonio man was sentenced to 29 years in prison in a 10-year-old murder case, the District Attorney’s Office announce Friday.
Joe Albert Gover, 27, pleaded guilty for his role in the beating of Benjamin Briones on June 26, 2011. Reports indicate Briones was hit, kicked and struck with a baseball bat during a fight. He later died of his injuries.
Gover also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of aggravated robbery of an Uber driver in 2019.
