Most Canadians believe Joe Biden’s presidency will be better for the Canadian economy than former U.S. president Donald Trump’s, according to a new poll conducted for iPolitics by Mainstreet Research.
Mainstreet’s survey of 3,132 voting-age Canadians was conducted on Jan. 19 and 20, the latter being the day Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris were inaugurated.
Of the respondents, 53 per cent said they believed Biden would be better for the Canadian economy, while 22 per cent said they felt he would be worse, and 25 per cent said they weren’t sure.
