Telecom shares rise

Telecom stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Telecom index rising 13.11 points or 0.98% at 1353.11 at 09:48 IST. Among the components of the S&P BSE Telecom index, Indus Towers Ltd (up 3.63%), OnMobile Global Ltd (up 3.39%),Vodafone Idea Ltd (up 2.78%),HFCL Ltd (up 1.97%),Bharti Airtel Ltd (up 1.1%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were GTPL Hathway Ltd (up 1.09%), Sterlite Technologies Ltd (up 0.67%), Reliance Communications Ltd (up 0.52%), Vindhya Telelinks Ltd (up 0.14%), and ITI Ltd (up 0.08%). On the other hand, Tata Communications Ltd (down 6.09%), Tejas Networks Ltd (down 1.67%), and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (down 0.65%) moved lower. At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 113.06 or 0.22% at 50508.14.

Vodafone Idea Ltd Spikes 3 97%, S&P BSE Telecom index Rises 1 06%

Vodafone Idea Ltd has lost 16.51% over last one month compared to 5.93% fall in S&P BSE Telecom index and 1.86% drop in the SENSEX Vodafone Idea Ltd gained 3.97% today to trade at Rs 10.47. The S&P BSE Telecom index is up 1.06% to quote at 1354.17. The index is down 5.93 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, OnMobile Global Ltd increased 3.34% and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd added 2.96% on the day. The S&P BSE Telecom index went up 25.87 % over last one year compared to the 61.16% surge in benchmark SENSEX. Vodafone Idea Ltd has lost 16.51% over last one month compared to 5.93% fall in S&P BSE Telecom index and 1.86% drop in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 39.19 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 632.56 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 13.8 on 15 Jan 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 2.91 on 18 Mar 2020.

The initial public offer (IPO) of Laxmi Organic Industries received bids for 19.69 crore shares as against 3.25 crore shares on offer, according to the stock exchange data at 17:00 IST on Tuesday (16 March 2021). The issue was subscribed 6.05 times. The issue opened for bidding on Monday, 15 March 2021, and it will close on Wednesday, 17 March 2021. The price band for the IPO is set at Rs 129-130 per share. An investor can bid for a minimum of 115 equity shares and in multiples thereof. The offer comprises of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 600 crore, comprising a fresh issue of up to Rs 300 crore and an offer for sale of up to Rs 300 crore by the promoter Yellow Stone Trust.
