A man identified as Ken Ekwesianya, his wife and daughter have reportedly been killed by unknown gunmen in Azia, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the church premises where they were around 7 pm on Thursday and shot the victims inside to death.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the incident in Awka the state capital, said the situation in the area was under control.
According to the PPRO, the state command had commenced investigations into the matter.
Mohammed said, “Investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and effort is being intensified in order to arrest perpetrators of the dastardly act and bring them to justice.”
