Genesee County could add $700-million I-75, I-69 interchange ‘mega’ project to long-range plan

GENESEE COUNTY, MI The county is preparing to add a whopper of a transportation project to its long-range plans a $700-million reconstruction of parts of Interstate 75 and I-69 and a modernization of the area where the highways connect.
The project’s timeline is loose and no funding has been dedicated to it, but Michigan Department of Transportation officials have said previously that it could start within this decade and the county started accepting public comments Sunday, Jan. 17, on an amendment that would add it to its 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan.
