Free Colon Cancer Screening in Delhi March 11
The pandemic has disrupted routines and delayed plans, but cancer screening is just as important as ever. All men and women ages 50 and older should be annually screened for colon cancer. To help us all get back on track with preventative care and in recognition of Colon Cancer Awareness Month, the Cancer Services Program of the Central Region (CSP) is offering a
free colon cancer screening event.
Come to the Delhi Price Chopper Parking Lot at 3 Main Street, Delhi, NY 13753 on March 11 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will be freebies, giveaways, health information, and more! Eligible individuals will be able to sign up for free take-home colon cancer screening kits.

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and Blair Gastroenterology Associates is initiating a campaign to remind everyone to get screened for colon cancer.
The Blair Gastro Colon Cancer Screening Center has been developed to help patients with their screenings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a significant decrease in the number of colon cancer screenings.
Many decided to wait until the pandemic subsided to get screened.
When colon cancer screening rates decrease, there is a corresponding increase in the incidence of colon cancer. The American Cancer Society reports the risk of developing colon cancer is 1 in 23 (4.3%) for men and 1 in 25 (4.0%) for women.
Recently TODAY’s Craig Melvin lost his older brother Lawrence to colon cancer. Marking Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Craig talks about his loss as his younger brother Ryan gets a colonoscopy. “He was relieved” when no polyps were found, Craig says.

It was the cross-promotion prospect of two brands known for such things Squatty Potty, a toilet stool company famous for its viral video of unicorns doing their business; and DuClaw Brewing Co., a Baltimore-based brewer that makes a sour beer called Unicorn Farts that led to the latest output from Richmond ad agency Elevation, which turned it all into an awareness campaign for colorectal health.
