Troy hotel gunshots result in no injuries

Troy hotel gunshots result in no injuries Advertisement For the second time this month, shots were fired at a Troy hotel. Troy police said someone went to the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, 2600 Livernois Road, at around 4 a.m. Dec. 12 and allegedly shot five rounds through  a glass doorwall and into a hotel room.  The room had a “Sweet 16” birthday party going on, attended by four teens who live in Detroit and Roseville, police said. Authorities added that the shots apparently did not hit or injure anyone. Police said they currently don’t know why the shooting happened, but they said a pair of suspects reportedly fled from the scene after the incident occurred. Police said they used a K-9 unit to investigate, which took them to a spot by the post office a bit northward. That’s where police think the suspects entered a vehicle and got away.

Those unfamiliar with the changes can end up on I-75 without trying. Once the orange barrels disappear, something new will take their place: a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). “What it does is take the conflict points of driving and reduced them almost in half,” said MDOT spokesperson Rob Morosi. MDOT is trying to improve safety and ease of use by making busy intersections less confusing even though the layout would have you think otherwise.
