Damen Yachting Launches 55m Yacht Support TIME OFF

By George Bains 20 Apr 2021 Damen Yachting’s 55m Yacht Support TIME OFF has been launched at the Damen yard in Antalya. Time Off is the ninth hull of the popular 55-metre YS 5009 design and following her final outfitting, will be available for immediate delivery this summer. Time Off follows in the footsteps of her predecessor Gene Chaser with a large multipurpose Main Deck hangar which is technically ready for stern A-frame installation and allows for a flexible deck layout. Configurations can include submersible and dive operations, vehicle garage or workshop facilities, storage of equipment, space for social engagements or even transport of relief goods. In addition, a number of other new features have also been incorporated into the design including a new accommodation layout for up to 7 guests and 4 staff plus crew.

St. Augustine Race Week April 17-24: St. Augustine Race Week takes place from Saturday, April 17 through Saturday, April 24 with a variety of adult and children’s themed races and activities. The sixth annual event is headquartered at the historic St. Augustine Yacht Club, 442 Ocean Vista Ave. in St. Augustine. “The ‘Big Boats’ will race off the coast of St. Augustine in the Atlantic Ocean and inshore racers will sail in the Tolomato River, just north of the Vilano Bridge,” said Rose Ann Points, co-owner of St. Augustine Sailing, the event sponsor. “We’ll have great fun cheering on the youth sailors in the Matanzas Bay between the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States, and the renowned Bridge of Lions that spans the Intracoastal Waterway in St. Augustine,” she said.
