Giants news 5/26: Weston Richburg retirement, Lorenzo Carter, more headlines
New York Giants news for Wednesday
Good morning,
After four years on the Giants and three years on the 49ers, center Weston Richburg will be retiring from the NFL, according to 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. The former 2014 second round pick was one of the best offensive linemen the Giants have drafted in the past decade. After leaving the team for San Francisco in the 2018 offseason, he suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon in December 2019 and suffered an ankle injury to end the 2020 season.
