The Heart Speaks In Whispers the third full-length album by
Corinne Bailey Rae. It was nothing if not gorgeous, and it led to one of the most memorable and thrilling Marquee shows that I ve been fortunate enough to attend.
At Rockwood Music Hall, Rae was joined by an outstanding band which includes her producer and husband, Steve Brown, on keys. On that gear-crowded stage, she spoke with me about themes of nature on the album, the cyclical nature of life, and the spring-like hope, possibility, and rebirth that imbues her songs.
