When people think of entrepreneur, promoter and recording artist Tony B, the term “shy theatre kid” doesn’t quite spring to mind. But that’s exactly who Antonio Bradford was in the beginning of his creative journey, and in some ways, still is.
Born in 1982 and raised in Athens since the age of 1, Bradford spent his youth dreaming of becoming an actor. He took theatre classes at Clarke Central High School, and continued to pursue his craft at Augusta’s Paine College after graduation.
It was there Bradford discovered something else he was good at, and would prove to be the jumping off point for his future career.

Today Georgia U.S. Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock announced that funds from the American Rescue Plan will go to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU s). HBCU s will get nearly $85 million in funding through the American Rescue Plan and Paine College is getting $2.6 million of the funds.
At least half of the funds must go directly to support student aid as students and parents continue to endure economic distress as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other Georgia HBCU s receiving funds:
Albany State University, $20.37 million
Clark Atlanta University, $16.5 million
Fort Valley State University: $11.9 million
Interdenominational Theological Center, $131,131
New Georgia law legalizes college athlete endorsements

GEORGIA (WTXL) â College athletes in Georgia may now collect endorsements and sponsorships.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) signed the state s new bill regulating athletes name, image and likeness rights on Thursday.
Kemp held his signing ceremony at the University of Georgia with a Bulldog backdrop in the athletic department s recruiting lounge. The symbolism was meant to be obvious for a law ostensibly designed to let athletes profit off their own image rights starting on July 1.
