Whanganui man named as victim of Dannevirke fatal crash

Police have named the person who died after a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 2 near Dannevirke last Wednesday.
He was 24-year-old Hamish Cameron of Whanganui.
Police said their thoughts were with his family and friends.
Emergency services were called to the crash near the intersection of SH2 and Otanga Rd at 5.39am on Wednesday.

The man who died after a crash on State Highway 2, near Dannevirke, has been named as Hamish Cameron.
Emergency services were called to the fatal crash near the intersection of SH2 and Otanga Rd at 5.39am on April 28.
The 24-year-old was from Whanganui.
A police spokeswoman said: Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

He was Neil John Van Schaik, a prominent Invercargill real estate agent.
Van Shaik was also part-owner of the race-horse The Chosen One, which finished fourth in last year s Melbourne Cup.
Emergency services were notified of the two-vehicle crash, on Chelmsford St, at 10:20am.

ISLAMABAD: Ahead of the April 29 by-elections, Prime Minister Imran Khan has been named by voters of Karachi’s NA-249 constituency as their favourite political leader, maintaining an edge over PMLN’s Nawaz Sharif.
In two out of three polls conducted, PM Imran Khan was named as the favourite, while in the third, Nawaz Sharif was declared the most popular. Ipsos, Pulse Consultant, and Gallup Pakistan released survey findings based on the opinion of 1,200 to 1,400 registered voters of the constituency.
All the three surveys took place between April 10 and April 20, 2021.
In the survey carried out by Ipsos, PM Imran Khan was the most popular leader in the constituency with 20pc of the respondents choosing him.
