THE NEW THROWBACK RIDE THAT S A BERRY GOOD TIME
As part of Knott s Berry Farm s 100th Anniversary celebration, the Southern California theme park is unveiling something unexpected: nostalgia. Its newest ride,
Knott s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair, is a 4D attraction that honors Knott s Bear-y Tales, a synonymous attraction that shuttered 35 years ago.
Orange County Attractions Rise Again
Two iconic Orange County entertainment sites welcomed back guest May 6 after being closed more than a year.
In Irvine, Calif., the Orange County Great Park’s hot air balloon took flight for the first time in about 14 months.
“We’re very excited to be able to resume a flight on the balloon,” city spokesperson Kristina Perrigoue told The Epoch Times.
Residents eagerly waited on shady park benches to ride the balloon until it was their turn, including a family of four that was celebrating a 40th birthday.
First-time riders came off the hot air balloon shouting in thrill of their experience 400 feet above the City of Irvine.

Knott s Berry Farm reopens to season-passholders
BUENA PARK, Calif. - Knott s Berry Farm reopened for season-passholders on Thursday ahead of its public reopening May 21.
The Buena Park theme park, which has been closed for more than a year through the pandemic except for special outdoor events, will be honoring Knott’s 100th Anniversary Celebration.
Guests will be able to experience the brand-new Knott s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair, a 4-D interactive dark ride that pays tribute to the classic attraction from 35 years ago.
The Knott s Summer Nights attraction will return with live music and food and drink specials. Knott s is also planning a nightly ceremony focused around a redesigned, illuminated K-tower at the park, which will also feature photos and other decor paying tribute to its history.
Here s what to expect when Knott s Berry Farm reopens this week!
Knott s will officially reopen on Thursday, May 6th to season passholders. Here s what you can expect! There s a new Bear-y Tales dark ride after a year long closure. The park is also preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary and relaunch the Summer Nights food festival later this month. On May 21st, the park will reopen to the general public.
Any passholders and single-day visitors will need to make an advance reservation online and choose an arrival time to get into the theme park. No tickets will be sold at the front gate due to the state s COVID-19 mandates. All season passholders can only have one active reservation at a time. Knott s Soak City water park has not yet announced a reopening date. Keep in mind that theme park tickets and advance reservations are limited only to California residents and are available online at the Knott s website or through the park s mobile app.
