Police incident closes portion of Route 34 in Cumberland County

A portion of Pennsylvania Route 34 in Cumberland County is currently closed due to a police incident.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Route 34 is closed from East Pine Street to Old Deer Lodge in Mount Holly Springs.
Details about the police incident were not immediately available.
Police ask that people avoid the area.

The Delaware & Hudson Trail in northeastern Pennsylvania has been named Pennsylvania Trail of the Year by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

The 38-mile trail extends through Lackawanna, Susquehanna and Wayne counties.
It traces the former corridor of the Delaware & Hudson Railway, which primarily carried anthracite coal out of the Lackawanna Valley during the second half of the 19th century.
Parts of the trail run through in the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Heritage Region, the Endless Mountains Heritage Region and the Pocono Forest and Waters Conservation Landscape.
