Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu is a political and women’s rights activist. She continues to raise the bar; from fighting for change; gender equality to diversity inclusion. She co-organises women’s marches and social campaigns. She is also a New York Attorney and Solicitor of England & Wales with broad expertise in the financial services industry. An exceptional writer, public speaker and political commentator. She founded the Women in Leadership publication. A platform to drive positive change on issues that impact women globally through inspiring personal leadership journeys; and established She@LawTalks to promote women and BAME leadership in the legal profession through universities and secondary schools. Dr Shola has an Executive MBA (Cambridge); PhD (Birkbeck); LLM (London School of Economics & Political Science); MA (Westminster) and LLB Hons (Buckingham University).
PORTSMOUTH After hiking most of the winter on Rhode Island’s mainland, I traveled to Aquidneck Island to explore a different landscape. I was not disappointed by the beautiful scenery and the history.
The Gentleman Farms owned in the late 1800s by the Vanderbilt, Taylor and Barstow families stretched as far as the eye could see and down gentle, green slopes to the Sakonnet River.
The stone walls, farm lanes, cart paths, sweeping fields and other evidence of the land’s rich past are still visible while walking the Sakonnet Greenway Trail.
The greenway includes 10 miles of public trails that loop through woods, pastures and marshland and around a golf course, soccer fields and still-active farms.
