Fan favourite Steven Taylor will remain with the Phoenix for another season after inking a one-year contract extension.
Wellington Phoenix have re-signed popular defender Steven Taylor for one more season, and coach Ufuk Talay has made it clear he wants to keep hold of another one of their off-contract import stars as the club bids farewell to captain Ulises Davila. Taylor became the fourth player to sign a contract extension with the Phoenix in the past fortnight, joining the previously announced re-signings Ben Waine, Clayton Lewis and Oli Sail by inking a new one-year deal.

Macarthur, who started the match in fifth, slipped to sixth behind Adelaide United on goal difference and will now face either Brisbane Roar or Central Coast Mariners in their debut semi-final next weekend.
