Selby will be kicking himself for causing the delay after compiling what looked set to be a match-winning break of 44 in the 31st frame, only to run out of position and let in Bingham for a nerveless 85 clearance which forced overtime.
Selby had resumed trailing 13-11 but dominated the session, a break of 125 hauling him level at 13-13 then, after Bingham responded with a century of his own, three frames in a row put the Leicester man firmly in control.
But although there was no repeat of the warning Selby received from referee Ben Williams on Friday for slow play, the gruelling nature of many of the frames ensured extra time would be required to determine a winner.

After a play-off place was secured, Doug O Kane looks at what the Reds may need to do to reach the top flight
ENJOY ACHIEVEMENT BUT RE-FOCUS ON HUGE OPPORTUNITY
THERE have been two strong emotions detectable from Barnsley fans this week
One is an immense pride in their team for allowing them to dream of the top flight for the first time in decades and for capping an excellent season, which has brought joy in difficult times, with a place in the Championship play-offs.
The other is a growing excited tension and a sense that, while there will be no shame in losing a semi-final or final they were never expecting to participate in, the Reds may never get a better chance to return to the top level and net the £150million or so that would totally transform the club.

Dominik Frieser will return for the Norwich City game on May 8 and there is a chance he will be joined by Herbie Kane and Liam Kitching, says Valerien Ismael.
Frieser injured his hamstring in Huddersfield last week. Ismael said: “Friesy looks very good. He is already training individually and making sprints. We don’t need to take any risks for Preston (on Saturday) but for Norwich he will be back.”
Kitching is back in full training with Kane set to join him soon, while Ben Williams is also getting closer to a return. Ismael said: “Liam Kitching has made big steps, he is keeping intensity with the team every day in training. It is good to see him training with consistency. Preston is too early for him and maybe he will play with the under 23s on Monday then we will take a decision about Norwich. Herbie Kane could come back this week but more likely next week and he could be in contention for Norwich. Ben Williams is fighting and near to training with
