The Umbrella Academy Introduces Its Seven New Siblings

Screenshot: Netflix The second season of Netflix’s Umbrella Academy ended not only with a dramatic confrontation (naturally), but with a game-changing reveal. (That kind of thing tends to happen when you’ve been messing with the timeline, no?) With season three set to start filming in Toronto next month, it’s time for teasers and reveals and casting news! The seven siblings from the first two seasons will all be back (well, mostly? sort of?), along with Ritu Arya’s Lila, but it’s time to meet the new class. When the Hargreeves family returned to the present day, all was not as they expected it to be. It’s April 2, 2019, but Reginald Hargreeves is alive, the mansion is far from empty and it isn’t their home. The painting over the mantel is of Ben, not Five. This isn’t the Umbrella Academy.

The Umbrella Academy unveils new cast additions for season 3

Sparrow #4 is Alphonso (Jake Epstein), who has years of crime-fighting that “have left his face and body with countless visual reminders of his battles”, and he has “a caustic and biting sense of humor”.

Four fan-favorite TV series brought joy and laughter to 2020

When staying home was essential in 2020, TV provided a necessary getaway from reality during quarantine. There were many fantastic viewing options — too many to include in this list — but here are some of the most watched shows of the year. In this musical dramedy, computer programmer Zoey Clarke (Jane Levy) gains the ability to hear others’ inner thoughts through song after an earthquake interrupts an MRI appointment.  This special power serves as both a gift and a curse for Zoey. Her father, Mitch (Peter Gallagher), has a neurodegenerative disorder that keeps him from speaking verbally, so Zoey’s able to communicate with him through song. At the same time, she’s caught in a love triangle with her best friend and fellow programmer, Max (Skylar Astin), and her colleague, Simon (John Clarence Stewart). She persistently hears them singing love songs about her.
