Tawazun, EOS to set up weapon manufacturing unit in UAE
DUBAI, February 22, 2021 Strategic Development Fund (SDF), the investment arm of Tawazun Economic Council, has signed an agreement with EOS Defence Systems, Australia’s leading defence and technology companies, to set up a joint venture firm with equal partnership, that would design and develop a new multi-platform Light-Weight 14.5 x 114 mm Chain Driven Machine Gun in the UAE. The JV, with the involvement of international and local engineering and designing expertise, will utilize the latest technologies in design and manufacturing to provide to the market a superior Weapon System compared to the existing conventional 14.5 x 114 mm products.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. â The Kent County Board of Commissioners are creating a new subcommittee focused on access to high-speed internet.
âWith so many people working from home, learning from home, doing all those kinds of things, it is not longer an option that people have access to this kind of high-speed internet,â said Ben Greene, Kent County Commissioner. âIt is becoming a necessity.â
Greene is chairing the 11-member broadband subcommittee. In addition to county commissioners, the panel includes stakeholders in the private and public sector.
âWeâre looking to identify the places in which those barriers exist and find solutions to address them,â said Greene.

With a pandemic that has forced many online to work, learn, socialize and more, Kent County leaders want to start breaking down the barriers hindering high-speed internet access to all in the county.
