The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce is set to honor the outstanding police officers, paramedics, EMTs and firefighters who help keep the local communities safe throughout the year, on Friday, May 7.
The 2021 Joshua M. Freeman Valor Awards, presented by the Carl M. Freeman Companies, will recognize their service and dedication to the community. Representatives of local towns and public-safety organizations, government officials and the Chamber membership will gather to honor first-responders for their work in the community.

Fire & Ice Festival - Delmarvalous cast a wintry glow on the Quiet Resorts towns along the coast Feb. 26-28. Sponsored by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, special events and ice sculptures were highlights of the festival in Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Millville and Fenwick Island.
Events included a tasting tour to benefit Nemours duPont Pediatric and Senior Center Sussex Campus, a drink-making contest featuring local bartenders, special events at local businesses, and ice sculpture demonstrations.

Due to the time of year and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, there hasn t been a whole to tell you about in the last couple of months as it pertains to current events at the Delaware and Maryland beaches.
But we re excited to say that we have some pretty fun things to talk about for this final weekend of February, most significantly the 4th Annual Fire & Ice Festival in Bethany Beach.
There are a number of fun community events scheduled for this weekend in the Quiet Resorts, which we ll go into much greater detail about below.
