The Nightly: May 31st, 2021 By Metal Matt on May 31, 2021, 10:59pm EDT 150 Boss and Hug Connection vs. the IIconics: For weeks, IIconics had been cutting promos about how Sasha and Bayley had been ducking them. This match took place on SmackDown, making it an inter promotional non title match. Lacey Evans came out halfway through for no reason, IIconics ended up getting an upset win, which was pretty cool. IIconics, Nia Jax, and Tamina vs. Boss and Hug Connection and Beth Phoenix and Natalya: This match took place on Raw, making it the IIconics first appearance and match on Raw. But this match was kind of a mess. The finish was also awful, as Beth and Tamina did a spot through the barricade, which seemed random for this kind of match on the go home show for Wrestlemania, and more or less no sold it once she got back in the ring and pinned Peyton.

Kevin s WWE NXT Review 5 25 21

WWE NXT May 25th, 2021 | Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida I will readily admit at the start that I am pressed for time today, so this might not be the most in-depth review. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez vs. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart Though not listed as such, this is a de facto number one contender’s match. These two teams are no strangers to each other, so having a good match isn’t difficult. In fact, I’ve really enjoyed their meetings so far. They did a lot of what works for them, which is Raquel as the powerhouse, Kai being the more technical member of the team, and the faces having a ton of energy. They really just throw themselves into everything. A hot tag went to Blackheart who lit up Kai. Moon hit Raquel with a modified Eclipse that might be a way to set her up as a future challenger. A sliding cutter/Dominator combo on Kai got the win for Moon and Blackheart in 10:26. That was a good opening contest but probably my least favorite of their matche

5/25 NXT TV results: Moore s review of Karrion Kross vs Finn Balor for the NXT Championship, Franky Monet s in-ring debut, Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai vs Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon for a shot at the NXT Women s Tag Titles, Ted DiBiase and Cameron Grimes face-off segment

NXT TV  Aired May 25, 2021 on USA Network [Hour One] A teaser aired for the Karrion Kross vs. Finn Balor NXT Championship match… Vic Joseph, Wade Barrett, and Beth Phoenix were on commentary and checked in from ringside. Alicia Taylor was the ring announcer. All three commentators yelled in order to speak over the crowd and background music. Vic Joseph also made sure to drop his contractually obligated line of saying that NXT has the “best women’s division in the world”… 1. Dakota Kai and NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez vs. Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Shotzi went for an early sleeper, but she was quickly slammed by Raquel. Raquel shrugged off all of Shotzi’s offense, forcing a tag from Ember. Ember went for a crossbody but was caught out of the air. Shotzi reversed the move with a huracanrana. Moon got a few two counts off Gonzalez through rollups. Moon went for another crossbody, but was caught again.
