The Staunton District consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley: Alleghany, Bath, Rockbridge, Highland, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Shenandoah, Frederick, Clarke and Warren. Scheduled work is subject to change due to inclement weather and material supplies. Motorists are advised to watch for slow-moving tractors during mowing operations. Martins Ferry City Council plans spring cleanup for March 27 | News, Sports, Jobs

Staff Writer MARTINS FERRY The city is gearing up for another spring cleanup on March 27 near the former city garage property on First Street. Martins Ferry City Council President Kristine Davis said Mayor John Davies made the announcement about the cleanup during this week’s council meeting on Tuesday. Meanwhile, JB Green Team also has slated several cleanups across townships in Belmont County. The Martins Ferry city cleanup is set for 8 a.m. to noon March 27 for city residents only. Residents can bring their unwanted household materials to the site for disposal into dumpsters. No hazardous materials can be disposed of including paint, chemicals, tires or TVs.
