The model code of conduct has come into force for the five Assembly constituencies of Dharmapuri, Palacode, Paapireddypatty, Harur (Reserved), and Pennagaram and the Returning Officers have been notified for the respective segments, said the Collector and district election officer S.P. Karthika here on Saturday.
The Returning Officers for Harur and Dharmapuri will be seated at the respective Sub-Collector’s offices, whereas the Returning Officers for other three constituencies will be seated at the respective taluk offices.
Flying squad and static surveillance teams have already been pressed into operation since Saturday morning. The static surveillance teams will be stationed at the checkposts and the flying squads will move around the constituency.

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami laid the foundation for construction of new amenities at the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital through video conferencing on Thursday.
Mr. Palaniswami laid the foundation for new cancer treatment facilities, and a new building for linear accelerator device near the Radiology Department. Collector S.A. Raman, Dean R. Balajinathan, Medical Superintendent P.V. Dhanapal and Resident Medical Officer S.R. Rani among others took part in the event.

Collector S. P. Karthikaa releases the final electoral roll in Dharmapuri on Wednesday. | Photo Credit: Special arrangement The final electoral roll for the district has registered 15,99,018 lakh voters for the six Assembly constituencies.
The final electoral roll that was released here at the Collectorate by Collector V. Jayachandra Bhanu Reddy has recorded 280 transgender voters, 7,93,220 lakh female voters, and 8,05,518 male voters for Uthangarai(reserved), Vargur, Krishnagiri, Vepanapalli, Hosur and Thally constituencies.
Krishnagiri has registered 2,65,238 voters, Uthangarai- 2,35,051; Bargur- 2,46,269; Vepanapalli- 2,50,657; Hosur 3,49,224 and Thally 2,50,579 voters.
The final electoral roll is posted for public perusal in all the 1,863 polling booths, taluk offices, revenue divisional offices, municipal and corporation offices and in all local bodies.
