A local landmark dating back to 1939, Sarasota Jungle Gardens has opened a new, permanent exhibit featuring some of the largest snakes in the world in a cave-like structure with glass enclosures and natural elements. Snakes featured in the Giant Snake exhibit include the Green Anaconda, which is the largest snake in the world reaching weights up to 500 (pounds), according to Sarasota Jungle Gardens. They have been known to eat adult white-tailed deer, jaguars, caimans and possibly even humans. INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 19-ranked Washington State rowing team earned an at-large bid into the 2021 NCAA Division I Rowing Championship, as announced by the NCAA Tuesday, May 18. The 2021 NCAA Division I Rowing Championship will be held May 28-30 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida.
Washington State will be rowing in its 14th NCAA championship regatta, and its first since the 2018 season. After cancelling the 2020 NCAA Division I Rowing Championship due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the championships will return on May 28-30 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida with University of Central Florida and Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates, serving as hosts.
The masonry theme continues inside the enclave. A protective structure for all the mailboxes just inside the gated entrance consists of two stonework columns supporting a small, gabled roof. Many of the Craftsman-style homes have stone fundaments or facades supporting the covered entryways.
