Pine Valley Golf Centre opened for business on Tuesday, the first course in the Prince George area to take tee-off times for 2011.
“We’re definitely fortunate enough to be opened for (the long weekend), and I know that we’re the only one open now,” Pine Valley general manager Keith Good said Tuesday afternoon. “Whether or not that will be the case this weekend, I don’t know.”
Easter may be falling later than usual, but that doesn’t mean opening before the long weekend was a certainty for Pine Valley. It’s been another cool spring and coming off record-setting snowfall in January and February, this year in particular has been a slow snow-melting process.
