I write this as annus horribilis 2020 ends. Although I have no intention of continuing the new year in this manner, I simply have too many stories and not enough inches in which to cover them. Apologies to writers whom I may be slighting, but his time out I’ll be concentrating on the more outstanding stories in each featured periodical. (Or at least I will try to do so.) I’ll also strive for brevity.

Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet #42 is a showstopper. Set among the elite of a near-future New York City, it’s both a thoughtful tale of conscience and an examination of the sociocultural world of 12-year-old/turning-13 girls.

They performed many works by Shakespeare and other period plays in venues such as the Edinburgh Festival, Hampton Court, the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey.
They were often works adapted or written by Jean and featuring John in leading roles. A play by Jean about Thomas More was performed in the Tower of London with John as lead.

Spirit of the Lady is being made at General Cigar Dominicana in the Dominican Republic.

Okay, so, taking
seriously may, initially, seem like taking
Plan 9 from Outer Space seriously. Roger Ebert gave this film one star, and seemed to begrudge it even this tiny reward. The movie is ridiculous: a fictive debut out of Australia from an art school reject; made on a shoestring budget; produced, starring, and directed by this same art school reject; and no script doctors or test audiences were employed in the making of this film as far as I can tell. It is, at best, a B-movie.
