The trust supports projects for the relief of human suffering in the UK and overseas and, as committed Christians, Sir Brian and Lady Elizabeth are particularly interested in projects that also promote spiritual welfare.
Whilst there are no minimum or maximum amounts given an average grant would be a small one off in the region of £1,000 – £3,000.

News from NZ Police
A person was rescued today yesterday by the Police Maritime Unit on board the Lady Elizabeth IV after being swept out to sea in a kayak by wind and a strong current.
He had launched his kayak at Red Rocks and intended on fishing close to shore, however the kayak capsized a few hundred metres offshore. He was swept out to sea by strong local currents before he managed to get back on the kayak. But when he tried to paddle back to shore, the 25-knot offshore wind prevented him making any headway.
He then capsized again but managed to deploy the anchor to stop being swept further out to sea. He lost his handheld VHF during the capsize and crawled onto the upturned kayak.
