Holy Name Union celebrates founder s cause with Archbishop Pérez – Catholic Philly

Posted December 10, 2020 Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Abington, hosted a Mass Dec. 6 sponsored by the Philadelphia Archdiocesan Holy Name Union, with Archbishop Nelson Perez as celebrant and homilist. The 41st annual Mass also honored the cause of canonization for Blessed John of Vercelli, founder of the Holy Name Society. The Sunday noon Mass was preceded by a morning rosary walk. Holy Name members pray the following prayer regularly: Blessed John of Vercelli, intercede on behalf of our efforts to make known the glory of the Most Holy Name of Jesus! The parish, led by its pastor Father Anthony Janton, is located at 1500 Marian Road, Abington. (Photos by Sarah Webb)

That first job was his first step on a banking career that took Guido to a vice-presidency at the TD Bank. I wrote about Guido’s life and career in a story called “The Lucky Kid from Earl Street” that was published in the Courier Press in December 20
