Differences among the provinces on the issue of notifying Census-2017 results persisted, as the Council of Common Interests (CCI) decided on Wednesday to convene a virtual meeting on Monday to take the final decision in this regard.
The CCI – a constitutional forum to discuss and decide matters between the federation and provinces – held its 44th meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair. It was attended by all the four chief ministers and relevant federal ministers.

ISLAMABAD: The final decision on the 2017 population census results will be taken on Monday, April 12, as the Council of Common Interests (CCI) could not reach consensus on it in today s meeting.
The Prime Minister s Office, in a statement issued Wednesday, said the 44th CCI meeting concluded under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

ISLAMABAD: The Council of Common Interests (CCI) has decided to take a final decision on the 2017 population census results on Monday, according to a statement from the Prime Minister s Office.
69% materially did not comply with legislation;
Only 36% fully complied with supply chain management;
Irregular expenditure amounted to R54.34 billion; there was however missing or incomplete information so the full amount is not known;
21 auditees received disclaimed or adverse opinions on their financial statements;
The financial health of departments “continued to be alarmingâ with many problems, including insufficient funds to settle liabilities and 87% of departments having claims against them totalling R147.12 billion ⦠âcontinuing [the] trend of using next yearâs budget to pay current yearâs expenses and claimsâ;
55 (29%) public entities incurred expenditure in excess of revenue; and
44% of public entities do not comply with supply chain management legislation.
