If there were any doubts about Microsoft's commitment to the gaming industry, CEO Satya Nadella has moved to quash them by declaring his company is "all in on gaming", going as deep as to align Xbox with Microsoft's mission statement.
Xbox has announced considerable expansion of its Cloud Gaming service, but assures fans that it is still committed to console hardware in fact it's working on new hardware and sees huge growth on PC.
Microsoft is expanding Xbox Cloud Gaming to more devices this year, just in time for its official Australian launch, with support coming to PC, consoles and essentially any device with a capable web browser, as well as being embedded directly into TVs.
Microsoft is looking at introducing new business models for Xbox, both in terms of different types of Game Pass subscriptions and how it sells hardware. It specifically gave a shout out to Xbox All Access through Telstra in Australia as an example of different ways to get people playing games.
