May 11, 2021 Virginia Delores Carl-son, age 89 and 11/12ths, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021, at UPMC Chautauqua. Born in Jamestown, N.Y., she was the last surviving child of eight children born to the late Edwin A. and Johanna K. Pederson Anderson. Virginia grew up with her seven brothers and sisters on Woodlawn Avenue and Camp Street in Jamestown and was a graduate of Jamestown High School. In her early years, she worked at Jamestown Royal, the Printz Company and Art Metal Corporation. On Feb. 14, 1958, she married Charles E. Carlson and together they raised four children in a wonderful neighborhood on Shadyside Avenue in Lakewood, where the couple still resided.

River was born to Brandi Anderson on Sept. 5, 2020, and is survived by a brother Brantley Owens. River, the Gerber Baby, will be remembered as a loving snuggly child with an endearing smile and infectious laugh.  River s pudgy cheeks and round shape endeared him to family and friends as the Buddha Baby, Butter Ball and Bubby. River is survived by maternal grandmother Belinda Martin, maternal great-grandmother Loretta Clark, maternal great-grandmother Betty Anderson, a special aunt and uncle, Kasey and Derek Leslie, as well as other numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
