(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Parks Department was very disappointed in not being able to host the annual meet Santa and Mrs. Clause at Otis Park this year.
But even as the “Grinch” tried to steal Christmas, the Bedford Parks Department employees, along with other city officials, worked together to bring some holiday cheer to the children of the city.
On Friday and Saturday of last week, Santa parked his sleigh outside the Milwaukee Depot and his elves joined him in bringing smiles to everyone. Many parents come around a second and third time just so they could see the Jolly Old Man again.
(BEDFORD) – The Milwaukee Depot is ready for Santa’s appearance Friday and Saturday. Although, the annual visit with Santa at Otis Park this year was cancelled, Bedford Mayor Sam Craig and the Bedford Parks Department were determined to find a way to spread the holiday spirit and christmas cheer.
Thanks to the efforts of Bedford City employees, this event should help celebrate the holiday and bring smiles to the children of Lawrence County..
Thursday morning city employees could be seen working feverishly to get things in place for the weekend event.
“We welcome everyone to drive by so Santa can wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Due to the current pandemic. Santa has requested that there will be no walk-up contact with him so that he can stay healthy for Christmas,” said Mayor Sam Craig.
