In previous years, there would be about two buses full of people from the Bedford area going to the Mall in Washington D.C. to participate in the March for Life.
However with COVID-19, this yearâs 48th annual March for Life was moved to a virtual event for safety precautions.
The U.S. Supreme Court made abortion legal with the passing of Roe v. Wade on Jan. 22 1973.
Nellie Gray started the first March for Life on Jan. 22, 1974, to reverse Roe v. Wade.
Since then, the March for Life has turned into an annual event that takes place every year in Washington D.C. around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
