Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa Thursday unveiled Bengaluru Mission 2022 , a programme aimed to revamp the state capital and make it a world class city.
Yediyurappa tweeted on Thursday that the aim is to overhaul the city’s infrastructure by 2022 when India will mark 75th year of Independence.

Bengaluru: Aimed at providing world-class amenities and infrastructure and making it the best place to live, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Thursday unveiled Bengaluru Mission 2022 to revamp the city in the next two years. After studying the problems and challenges faced in everyday life in the city, the mission has been formulated identifying four core areas for development - enabling faster commute, Swachcha (clean), Hasiru (green) Bengaluru and connecting with citizens, he said.

Unveiling ‘Bengaluru Mission 2022’ on Thursday, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa presented various plans to make the city “one of the best in the world” within two years to mark 75 years of independence.
The CM explained that the initiative will be focussed on four major areas of challenge in infrastructure renovation for Bengaluru, namely enabling faster commute, providing a cleaner and greener city, and connecting citizens to the city by providing access to various services and to experience its culture and heritage.
