Shrachi s BTL EPC Ltd bags order worth Rs 170 crore from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited

BTL EPC Ltd. ANI | Updated: Apr 06, 2021 13:24 IST Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], April 6 (ANI/NewsVoir): BTL EPC Ltd., the engineering division of the Kolkata-based Shrachi Group, has secured a Rs 170 crore (incl. GST) order from BHEL for setting up a 1x660 MW coal handling plant at Murshidabad for West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited. The order consists of setting up of around 4.38 km long belt conveyor with Hydraulic Drive arrangement, Roller Screen, Ring Granulator of 1500T/1650T capacity, Travelling Tripper of 2000/2200TPH capacity, Hydraulic drive for conveyor system as well as Structural, Utility, Electrical & Instrumentation work. BTL EPC Ltd. has already tied up with Swedish company, Rexroth for Hydraulic Motor and L&T for Ring Granulator and Roller Screen.

PM Modi inaugurates number of railway projects in poll-bound West Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a slew of railway projects in poll-bound West Bengal on Monday amidst claims by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) that they were announced by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during her tenure as railway minister. Modi inaugurated the extension of metro railway from Noapara to Dakshineswar and flagged off the first service on the stretch. He also inaugurated the third line between Kalaikunda and Jhargram. The much awaited extended stretch of metro railway from Noapara to Dakshineswar has been constructed at a cost of Rs 464 crore, fully funded by the Centre. This extended stretch will provide fast, easy, pollution-free travel bereft of traffic snarls to thousands of commuters in the city and its adjoining areas. Around 50,000 daily commuters coming from Howrah, Hooghly and North 24 Parganas will be benefitted from this extension, a statement from the railway ministry said.
