A woman found dead Monday in an apartment after a standoff between police and her common-law husband appears to have died from a wound inflicted by the officers’ gunfire, San Antonio’s police chief said Wednesday.
Police and the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office are investigating how Neida Tijerina, 29, was shot and killed during the standoff, said Chief William McManus, who briefed reporters.
