Richard Harry Bloomquist
Richard Harry Bloomquist of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away on Jan. 10, 2021 after living with Parkinson’s disease for several years. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Judy Bloomquist, his children Jamie Bloomquist, and Karrie Bloomquist, daughter-in-law Victoria Lasbury and grandchildren Mason and Leah Bloomquist, and Harper Coburn of Maine, and his step-children Gannon and Michelle Ulrich, and Jocelyn and Bryan Camarata, and grandchildren Jacob, Henry, Gianni, and Charlie.
Rick grew up in Jamestown and Naples, Fla., raised by his loving parents, Harry and Marguerite Bloomquist and was proud of the Swedish heritage they celebrated. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1963 and Grove City College in 1967. Rick worked for Corning Glass and Marine Midland Bank in his early career. Homeowners Monica and Jason Mattes were looking for a waterfront home when they got lucky and found a property with water views at both the front of the house and at the back.
