Spanish estate home in Punta Gorda Isles on market for $1,345,000

Homeowners Monica and Jason Mattes were looking for a waterfront home when they got lucky and found a property with water views at both the front of the house and at the back. The nearly 4,000-square-foot, two story home also had something else they were looking for, Spanish Mediterranean architecture. “We have always gravitated towards the style,” said Monica Mattes, “and to get a house situated on water like this one was really fortunate. Plus, the amount of custom woodwork in this house is remarkable and something I’ve never seen before at this price point. The interior doors, the trim work, molding and baseboards were a major factor in choosing this particular home.”
