EVANSVILLE, Ind. An Evansville City Council member is writing a resolution which city officials say obligates Woodland Park Apartments to answer questions about unpaid bills and living conditions there.
Councilman Alex Burton said Woodland Park managers on Friday afternoon were trying to force evictions of some tenants who are staying on vouchers from the Evansville Housing Authority, as well as others who have complained to local news outlets about conditions in the apartment complex.
The complex at 2340 Sunburst Blvd. is plagued by crime, trash and substantial overdue utility payments. The delinquent bills are the fault of the Woodland Park owners, because tenants monthly payments include utilities, Burton and others say.
