Bam Bam and his family recently enjoyed more than a million twinkling lights during a ride through the Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience at Six Flags Great Adventure.
Popular demand has led to the Jackson amusement park extending the inaugural event for a second time. The drive-thru experience now runs through Jan. 17.
It allows guests the opportunity to drive their own vehicles through the 140-acre park, enjoying holiday theming and seasonal music.
Can t get enough Christmas cheer? Good news, Six Flags Great Adventure is keeping the holidays alive!
The Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience debuted November 30 and ran Monday through Thursday evenings through December 17. Due to overwhelming demand, the season has been extended once again to include January 4 through 17. All guests are required to make a reservation at www.sixflags.com/reserve. Admission tickets for this first-ever event are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are sold per person for each night.
Pets are free. More on that in a bit. Admission is also free with active Memberships and Season Passes, and reservations are required. Ticket sales are not available at the gate. The event and its live entertainment are weather permitting.

The 80-foot-tall artificial Christmas tree, located across the glowing jewelbox that is Macy s, illuminates the heart of the city with tens of thousands of lights. The annual lighting ceremony usually happens with a big party on Black Friday, the first big shopping day of the holiday season. Those celebrations in the past featured live performances by stars like John Legend and Aloe Blacc as well as local acts. This year, there were no crowds but the tree still shines for the city.
Six Flags offers park holiday drive-thru experience
VALLEJO Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is hosting a new, modified holiday event – the Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience.
The first time the park for the first time is transformed from a walk-through experience to a drive-thru holiday spectacular featuring millions of twinkling lights, holiday theming and seasonal music in a safe event for the entire family.
The park’s rides and attractions will not be in operation per state requirements.
“Visiting Holiday in the Park has been an annual tradition for families all across Northern California for many years,” Park President Janine Durette said in a press release. “In these uncertain times, we believe that it is more important than ever to create a safe and fun atmosphere where our guests can enjoy the magic of the holiday season. , the World’s Ultimate Thrill Park, announces an extension of its new winter drive-thru spectacular, Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience.
Featuring more than a million dazzling lights, festive holiday theming, and seasonal music favorites, this innovative, one-of-a-kind, nighttime event will extend its operation to include Monday through Sunday evenings Jan. 4 through 10, 2021.
While the thrill of the park’s iconic roller coasters, festive fire pits, and delicious holiday treats will operate weekends and select days through Jan. 3, this unique Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience will now offer an extra week for guests to celebrate the spirit of the season from the comfort and safety of their own vehicles.
