Finland has launched a new battery development strategy and is touting for investors to build up its manufacturing industry.
The National Battery Strategy 2025 was unveiled on Tuesday 26 January, and outlines seven objectives to develop the country’s battery sector, which includes targeting growth and renewal of Finland’s existing battery and electrification cluster, further investment, promoting industry competition, raising awareness of the strategy globally, responsible raw material sourcing, defining key roles in the sector’s value chain, and exploring circular economic solutions and advancing digital innovation in the space.

Mawson Gold Limited ( Mawson or the Company ) (TSX:MAW)(FSE:MXR)(OTC PINK:MWSNF) announces
that four diamond drill rigs are now at site to complete the 2021 resource expansion drill program at the Rajapalot gold-cobalt project in northern Finland. A total of 20,000 metres of diamond drilling is planned to be completed by mid-April 2021.

The program aims to significantly expand the current 716,000oz AuEq inferred resource. This will be achieved by:
Infill and extend high-grade zones within current resource areas, including for example around Palokas drill holes PAL0228: 7 metres @ 17.0 g/t Au, 2,168 ppm Co, 18.5 g/t AuEq from 251.4 metres and PAL0222: 8.2 metres @ 19.1 g/t Au, 1,572 ppm Co, 20.2 g/t AuEq from 266.9 metres;

Mawson Gold Limited ( Mawson or the Company ) (TSX:MAW)(FRA:MXR)(OTC PINK:MWSNF) is pleased to announce further high-grade gold and cobalt assays from the initial 8 hole drill program from the Joki East prospect located within the 100% owned Rajapalot Project in Finland. Joki East is located 1,600 metres north-east of the Raja resource area and is permitted for year-round drill access (Figure 1).
Additionally, Mawson has now commenced its 18,000 kilometre winter drill program with the first of four drill rigs now mobilized to site to commence drilling at Joki East. Three additional drilling rigs will be mobilized in the new year.
