The Board of Selectmen approved temporary parking spaces in the municipal lot behind the U.S. Post Office at 143 Main St. for residents whose current parking locations will be displaced by the Florida Road Bridge Replacement Project.
At the Jan. 26 board meeting, Wayne Amico, town engineer, said five properties will be temporarily affected by the project – 2 and 9 Florida Road; 1 to 3 Beacon St., and 1 and 2 Florida Court, resulting in 12 lost parking spaces. He expects it will take two to three years to reconstruct the bridge.
Licenses
The board approved common victualler and entertainment licenses for Theatre Creamery at 17 Summer St. Prior to the meeting the DPW expressed concern about the amount of trash that has accumulated at Veterans Memorial Park related to the Theatre Creamery. The park is across the street from the ice cream shop. Manager Will Collura said they would install larger barrels in front of the creamery and encourage people to use them. However
I-95 at SR-206 Ramps will close overnight for asphalt work
The Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to temporarily close the I-95 at SR-206 entrance and exit ramps overnight Sunday, January 31 and Monday, February 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., weather and schedule permitting. The overnight closure will allow crews to resurface the asphalt pavement on the ramps and SR-206 within the interchange limits.
I-95 Northbound Ramps at SR-206:
Drivers attempting to exit I-95 northbound at SR-206 will be detoured north to the SR-207 exit, then onto I-95 southbound, where they can access SR-206.
Drivers attempting to enter I-95 northbound from SR-206 will be detoured onto I-95 southbound to US-1, where they can access I-95 northbound.

Durban Youth Radio, known as DYR, broadcasts in the greater Durban metro on 105.1FM, and online.
As a NPO and a community radio station our mandate is to train the local youth in broadcasting and to date over 22 of our volunteer trainees have moved into paid jobs and careers in commercial radio and media.
We are entirely self-funded and over the last four years we’ve grown and moved to new studios in Florida Road and changed the station sound to create a new landscape for radio fans and music connoisseurs, challenging the prescribed radio formats that people are tired of. We are massive fans and supporters of rising Durban musicians, artists, performers, young entrepreneurs, charities and other notable causes.
