To celebrate the sweet day, Orlando’s all-new donut shop, The Salty Donut, is stocking up on the popular pastries.

The business said it’s also releasing an all-new flavor, hosting giveaways and offering discounts throughout its store on the big day.

Officials said guests who visit on Friday can try the all-new French Toast Donut. The donut is described as a 24-hour brioche filled with whipped French toast custard, maple glaze, and topped with crunchy French toast pieces, mascarpone whip and maple drizzle.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World announced Wednesday that the popular Animal Kingdom restaurant, Tusker House, will reopen to guests on June 20.
The restaurant is the latest spot to reopen to guests as part of the resort’s phased reopening plans.

The table-service restaurant will feature a family-style breakfast, lunch and dinner menu brimming with African-inspired flavors, Disney said on its blog.

In addition to the good food, guests will once again see Donald Duck and his friends in their best safari outfits.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Cathy and Robby Clay want you to get to know Central Florida’s farmers.
“We are trying to connect our local farmers to people in the community so that we can get the food that they’re growing and creating into the hands of the people who are here that can actually eat it,” Cathy Clay said.
The pair run the Farmacy, an online market that sells meat, produce and more all of it coming from Central Florida’s farmers and growers. The Clays have been at it for about 7 years and the idea started with them trying to start their own small-scale farming operation.

More than 30 restaurants are participating in $30 prix fixe menu event

The Bite 30 event starts on Tuesday and runs through Aug. 1.
Here’s how it works: Each restaurant offers a special menu with three courses appetizer, entrée and dessert all for $30. An additional $5 is tacked on for take-out orders.

A few restaurants also offer a specialty cocktail for Bite 30, but that comes at an added cost.
Some of the restaurants participating this year include The Ravenous Pig, Bites & Bubbles, Bulla Gastrobar, Maxine’s on Shine and Kabooki Sushi, among many others. More restaurants may be added to the list throughout the 2-month event.
