ROSES to the completion of major construction projects at Albanyâs two high schools. Last week, worked wrapped up on a $62 million improvement package at West Albany High that included a new auxiliary gym, a new auditorium that will be shared with the community, upgraded vocational education spaces, an upgraded student commons, a new entryway, tennis courts and seismic renovations. The week before saw the completion of a $13.2 million project at South that included theater upgrades, improvements to the commons and Building 10, roof repairs, bathroom improvements and new voc-ed classrooms. Both were funded as part of a $159 million Greater Albany Public Schools bond measure appro
