The Logansport Memorial Hospital Foundation has been hard at work ensuring its impact on local health services.
That includes making donations that impact employees and patients.
Where donations went in 2020:
• $2,670 in direct patient care.
• $3,000 in scholarships.
• $20,860.50 in trail maintenance for the River Bluff Trail.
In addition to the donations above, the foundation will be rounding out 2020 by giving additional capital donations to the hospital.
Almost 300 nominations were received this year, with the Overall Star of Norfolk and Waveney category being sponsored by headline sponsor Hopkins Homes.
Joshua Hopkins, of Hopkins Homes and The Hopkins Charitable Fund, said: “This year has brought about some of the most significant challenges for our communities in a generation. Yet, what it has highlighted is that there are heroes without capes on every street and that we can be very proud of the incredible community spirit that exists in our region.

Mercy University Hospital Foundation On Track To Raise Over €2.8 Million This Year It s the largest amount ever raised since the foundation was set up in 2007.
Management at the hospital say they are incredibly grateful to the people who donated to the hospital s Covid-19 appeal.
They have also thanked staff working on the front line for their hard work, compassion and courage.
The Foundation is now appealing for donations for the development of a Cancer Care Centre which will be located close to the Mercy on Dyke Parade
