A Philadelphia hospital that has been marketed on television in the Harrisburg area for years will be sold.
The Cancer Treatment Centers of America hospital in Philadelphia will be purchased by Temple University Hospital. Temple and Cancer Treatment Centers of America have signed an asset purchase agreement for the buildings, equipment and supplies of the current campus at 1331 E. Wyoming, Ave. in Philadelphia.
Following the transaction and pending approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the hospital will be reconfigured and operated as a nonprofit institution, according to a press release. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of June.
